Chinese Restaurant Syndrome..

We went to this Sichuan restaurant for lunch today. LongJiang Chinese Ala Carte Buffet..

Barely 7 main dishes later
I felt my heart palpitating and I was close to having an asthma attack.
I was sorta wheezing and coughing.
My ears were flaming and my neck was red.
I thought I was having an astral experience lol
It was a weird heady feeling..

Sometimes reading too much Readers Digest on
"Symptoms to tell if you are having a heart attack"
Can be overly informative.
And it makes you worry too much
Anyway...

After about 6 little chinese teacups of Ka-pow..
I felt better..but my ears and neck was still red.


It subsided after a while and I resumed EATING..
well I did not know what caused this reaction.
(Could have been a-vistation
or a crack in the cosmos announcing my premature demise lol)


And so I googled what i felt.
Asthma Flushing MSG Seafood.

And Voila..
I got my answer "Chinese Restuarant syndrome"



AND WHAT AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF CHINESE FOOD AND ALL...
THAT RESTAURANT MUST HAVE BEEN POURING PACKETS INTO THEIR
FAUX SHARK'S FIN SOUP(WAS MORE LIKE EGG DROPSOUP)
OR
DEEP FRIED FISH DRIZZLED WITH DARK SOY SAUCE
OR
FRESH SCALLOP WITH XO SAUCE SERVED WITH ASPARAGUS,
OR
CRAYFISH WITH WITH FUJI APPLE SAUTED WITH MINCED GARLIC AND CHILLI,
OR
TENDER BEEF SLICES WITH CHINESE CHIVES
OR
GOLDEN PORK SLICES DIPPED IN ORANGE SAUCE
OR
WATERCRESS LIGHTLY SAUTED WITH SHRIMP(YAH haybee)

that was the LITTLE(ahem) I had before the attack..
OK ALOT.. (but the servings were quite small...
erm its SUNDAY can pigout more..
T'was MA's treat... :X(hehe excusesexcusesexcuses for gorging)

But seriously look what it did me...MSG overdose

I mean Eat fat..and Good expensive food nevermind..
