O_o

I hate to admit it or rather come to a realization as I was packing my room. I have read more in this past one half month than the last half year.
MAN..Think of all the monies MPH Borders and Kino are earning from me.
Fountain Head
Anthem
Bombay Ice
DaVinci Code
A Short History of nearly everything
Dark Winter
Pattern Recognition

The Skull of Charlotte Corday
The Time
Traveller's Wife (finishing soon maybe tonight..not what i expected..so far not bad.. sappy
One of them Peter Carey's books would be next..
If only all them pages can be transpormed in wads of bills..o_O
I ain't complaining..weirdly I am happy and comforted when i smell the pages of them books. (okie SOME ARE REAL NASTY and they usually give papercuts especially our texts)
BUTBUTBUT..
It just highlights a stark fact.Self revelation.
I AM A GEEK.
And hence self condemnation.
I NEED A LIFE.

SIGH~

hey, you blogger too?

u read Ayn Rand? Wow! Cal been trying to get me to read, I managed to read like 4 pages in 1 week. Her writing is so wow! dense, but her ideas are really so good, and what can I say but wow! again.

Go get a book membership lah. Or keep away from bookstores, or leave your ATM card/credit card at home days you'll go anywhere remotely close to anywhere housing books like Orchard especially. - like that you'll save more than juzt on books.

ok see you abouts. gotta go.

oh btw I forgot to mention that I love your template. The mood and the tones you used... very soothing.

And missed your bday. Blessed belated Birthday. That makes it a triple "B". Too bad Cherisse is a "c". Wait! Your surname is a C right? Heheh

Yeah I was watching this documentary on her and got intrigued. Then my silly friend bought Fountainhead when he went to M'sia, saw the tiny fonts and was too lazy to even start. He prefers Audio books which I never tried and they don't exactly appeal to me. The musty smell of paperbacks and papercuts seem better than droning voices. Anyhow..he passed it to me. GOOD.

Back to Ayn Rand.. her works are astounding.. For her circumstance and time especially during the Mc Cathy era and Red Scare, those thoughts and ideologies that she had were really commendable. But the fact that she came from Russia and was under oppressed rule she came abit too forceful on socialism and common good vs capitalism and freewill, a tad too extremist. But still, I like her ideas regarding ego vs altruism. Fountainhead was a really good book that gave us her notion of the "ideal man". Howard Roark, dsyfunctional by societies standards but all in all a man of integrity and extremely appealing lol.
Do read it. Atlas shrugged should be good too.
